Many people are picking the Blackhawks to make the Stanley Cup Finals. Given the fact they’ve created a dynasty over the last seven seasons, as well as holding the first seed in the Central, it is understandable. They came from nine points back to jump the Wild into the first spot and seemed unbeatable in the second half of the season. Nashville didn’t have a great start, but, by the end of the season they found themselves safely in a spot.
The two rivals have met twice in 2010 and 2015. Both times, the Hawks won the series on their way to a Stanley Cup. Peter Laviolette himself is winless in three series against Chicago as a head coach, as he was the coach of the Flyers in the 2010 Finals. Laviolette and his Predators will be looking to get some pay back this time.
Chicago and Nashville matchup pretty evenly. The goaltending, shooting percentage, and shots/shots against are all very close, with a slight edge to the Predators. I expect it to be a tight series which could go either way. I am going against everybody and predicting the Predators to win in a 6 or 7 game series.
