There’s not much to say about the Minnesota Wild’s offseason. The only very relevant move they made was re-signing Devin Dubnyk to a hefty contract after a tremendous performance last season. They were well outside of a playoff spot halfway through the season when Dubnyk led them back. Of course, the entire team did it together, but Dubnyk was the leading force. It really seemed to start when coach Mike Yeo went Herb Brooks on the team during one practice. The team did not change much this offseason, so I expect the same kind of season as last year. Hopefully for them, they don’t run into the Blackhawks in the playoffs again, a team they cannot seem to defeat.
