Dream Debut

Troy Grosenick started in his NHL debut yesterday for the Sharks against Carolina. The Sharks were dominated by the Hurricanes in play, being outshot 45 to19. They won 2-0 on a fluke and an empty netter, though, in a game they should have lost. This rookie goaltender had a 45 save shutout in his first game in the NHL. A few of those saves were highlight reel stops. The last time someone had a 40+ save shutout in his debut was in 1996.
